AMainly, our products are recommended to apply in following plastics:
Polystyrene (PS) Acrylonitrile and phenylethylene Copolymer (AS)
Polycarbonate (PC) Acrylnitrile-butadiene-styrene-copolymer (ABS)
Rigid PVC (PVC-R) Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA)
Polyamide (PA) Polyester (PET)
Phenylethylene-acrylonitrile Copolymer (SAN) Polyformaldehyde (POM)
Actually, a colorant can not be used to all types of plastics due to nature of the colorant. We classify our application to 3 grades: recommended, potential use, not recommended.
● recommended ○ potential use — not recommended
Also, some of the colorants have good solubility in oil and wax (we call fat dyes), causing they can be applied in gasoline, shoe care cream, lubricating grease, candle.
Colorants, having nature of sublimation when being heated, can be applied to colored smoke signals.
However, we would point out that this classification is simply a general guide that is intended to make it easier to select suitable products from our range of colorants based on our best knowledge. A trial test before mass production is necessary to classification recommended especially to classification potential use.
